Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Once your piece completes our artisan production process, you will receive a confirmation email with shipping and tracking details. Please note that timelines vary by design.

Can I request faster delivery?

Due to the handcrafted nature of our offerings, expedited production or shipping is not currently available.

Will I be charged customs fees?

International clients will be responsible for any duties, taxes, import and shipping fees required by the destination country.

Can I modify or cancel my order after purchase?

Orders are immediately placed into production and cannot be modified or cancelled. We encourage clients to confirm all specifications prior to checkout.

What happens if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?

In the rare event of damage or an incorrect order, please contact us within 24 hrs. We will coordinate a suitable resolution.

Returns & Refunds

How long do I have to return an item?

You may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery, provided they remain unopened, unused, and in original packaging.

Can I exchange an item?

Exchanges are accepted only for items in original condition. Please note that natural variations in fabric or handmade details cannot be exchanged.

Will shipping fees be refunded?

Standard shipping costs are non-refundable, except when the item is received damaged or incorrect.

What proof of purchase is required?

Acceptable proof includes: paper receipt, e-receipt, packing slip, or order number.

How should I package my return?

Use the original packaging to protect your item during transit. We recommend using tracking for all returns to ensure safe delivery.

How long will it take to process my refund?

Refunds are typically processed 3–10 business days after your returned item is received and inspected.

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

Yes, eligible items can be returned within 14 days, provided they are unused, unopened, and in original packaging.

International Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, House of Thalpa ships to select countries worldwide. We are delighted to bring our curated home décor pieces to customers across the globe.

How much does international shipping cost?

International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, package weight, and
chosen shipping method. Please note that shipping fees are not complimentary for international orders.

Will I have to pay customs duties or taxes?

Yes, for international orders, customs duties, taxes, and import fees may apply in your country. These fees are collected by your local customs office upon delivery, and House of Thalpa does not control these charges.

What are my payment options for duties and taxes?

We currently operate under Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms. This means:

  • You pay shipping fees at checkout.
  • Any applicable duties or taxes must be paid
    directly to your country’s customs office upon delivery.

This ensures transparency and compliance with your country’s import regulations.

How long does international shipping take?

Shipping times vary by destination and customs clearance procedures. Typically, international orders are delivered within 10–25 business days after shipment. Please note that customs processing can add additional time.

How will I know when my order ships?

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this to monitor your package’s progress.

What happens if I refuse customs charges?

If customs duties or taxes are refused, the carrier may return the package to House of Thalpa. In this case, we are unable to refund shipping fees or the product cost.

Can House of Thalpa prepay customs duties?

At this time, we ship under DDU terms, so duties and taxes must be paid by the customer upon delivery. Prepaid duty options (DDP) are not available for international orders.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an international order?

Changes to the shipping address cannot be guaranteed after the order has been processed. Please ensure your delivery information is accurate at checkout.
